Micotherapy Polyporus is a food supplement based on organically grown Polyporus umbellatus (IT BIO 006) – Made in Europe, useful in promoting the drainage of body fluids.

Property

Polyporus umbellatus (Dendropolyporus umbellatus), used in TCM for over 2500 years since the Han Dynasty is also known as Zhu ling in TCM. It was originally described in Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing (The Divine Farmer's Materia Medica Classic) as a remedy with diuretic action, which exerts its action especially in the presence of edema and dysuria. It is mentioned in various Medical Materials of ancient Chinese Medicine in which it was traditionally used for the treatment of edema and to promote diuresis processes. In the “Chinese Pharmacopoeia” (2010 edition) a TCM remedy is due to treat edema, acute nephritis and diarrhea (The State harmacopoeia Commission of PR China, 2010).
